Terms of service
These terms govern your use of uselinking, operated by Smooth Path Digital S.R.L. By creating an account you agree to them. Last updated 24 August 2026.
The service
uselinking provides deferred deep linking: links that survive an app install, so a person who taps a link, installs your app and opens it lands on the content they originally chose. We provide an HTTP API, a React Native SDK, hosted link domains and a dashboard.
Your account
- You must give an accurate email address and keep it current.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys secret, and for everything done with them. Revoke a key from the dashboard the moment you suspect it has leaked.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction, and if you are accepting on behalf of a company you must be authorised to bind it.
- One person may hold several accounts, but creating accounts to evade plan limits is not permitted.
Acceptable use
You may not use uselinking to:
- Direct people to malware, phishing pages, or anything designed to deceive them about where they are going.
- Distribute content that is illegal where you operate, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Disguise the destination of a link in order to bypass a platform’s review, moderation or safety systems.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages containing your links, or use the service in any way that would damage the deliverability or reputation of our domains.
- Attempt to breach or probe our systems, or interfere with another customer’s use of the service.
- Resell the service as a competing deep linking product without a written agreement.
We may suspend an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not serious we will contact you first.
Your responsibilities for end-user data
When people tap your links we process a small amount of their data on your behalf, as described in our privacy policy. You are the controller of that data. You are responsible for:
- Disclosing in your own privacy policy that you use deferred deep linking and what it involves.
- Having a lawful basis for that processing.
- Meeting your obligations under the app store policies you publish under, including any privacy disclosures they require.
Plans and billing
- There is a free plan. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, and prices are shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; the plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
- Plans carry usage limits. Exceeding them does not fail your links — traffic over the cap is served without deep intent, and the dashboard shows the overage — but sustained overage means you should move up a plan.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and will give reasonable notice of planned maintenance where we can. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee on any plan. The service is provided as-is.
Ownership
We own uselinking — the service, the API, the dashboard and our branding. You own your apps, your content and your data. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you: to store and serve your link configuration, branding assets and click data.
Our React Native SDK is published under the MIT licence and its terms govern that code.
Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that has been inactive on a free plan for an extended period, with notice by email where practical.
When an account closes, its links stop resolving. Export anything you need first.
Warranties and liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Deferred deep link matching is probabilistic by nature: we do not warrant that every install will be matched to the click that preceded it.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. Material changes will be sent by email at least 30 days before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, and the courts of Romania have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
